Bonsai Pots
If you are growing another type of Bonsai Tree say one with a lot of colourful flowers then your choice of pot will be reflected in the pot you choose.
Please bear in mind that you should not buy any pot that is glazed on the inside as this could seriously harm and damage your Bonsai Tree roots.
Plastic Bonsai Tree Pots
Humidity trays or “plastic pots” can also be purchased for your Bonsai Trees to be grown in these work in a very simple way, as when the plant is watered the pot retains the water and creates humidity around your Bonsai Tree, these are quite acceptable and reasonably cheap to buy.
Mica Bonsai Pots
A mica bonsai pot is of the type that could be kept outside if you wanted to, they are generally made of high quality material and able to withstand all of our crazy weather conditions that we experience on our planet this is including snow, wind, rain and of course the heat. They are made up of 5% graphite for the colour, 85% mica and 10% polythene to help hold it all together. These pots are also good for your Bonsai Tree Safety because they are quite strong they can withstand the odd knock or even a drop or two from those people who may be inclined to be a bit clumsy on occasion.
Bonsai Pots
When deciding on your choice of pot that you are going to be putting your Bonsai Tree into there are a few things worth considering. Firstly should you be considering a ceramic type pot or should you be considering another type of pot for your Bonsai Tree ?.Well let me explain the ceramic type pot is made of a type of material that is porous which will help in terms of reducing or eliminating the growth of any fungi which can occur when growing Bonsai Trees. There are no chemicals in the production of the ceramic type pot and can quite easily be recycled so they are considered to be environmentally friendly. If you have a good look around there will be countless styles and shapes and also colour’s come to that, you will be able to get exactly what you are after to complement your Bonsai Tree perfectly.
The next choice you are going to have to make is should I go for the glazed or the unglazed type of Bonsai Tree pot ?
Well generally you will be looking for something to complement your Bonsai Tree so you will have to think about that and come to your own conclusion but I would just bear in mind that if you have a nice dramatic looking older style Bonsai Tree then you will want a pot to match its particular style and in general the older style Bonsai Trees tend to look better in a dark coloured unglazed pot as it gives the impression of age.
