Please bear in mind that you should not buy any pot that is glazed on the inside as this could seriously harm and damage your Bonsai Tree roots.

Humidity trays or “plastic pots” can also be purchased for your Bonsai Trees to be grown in these work in a very simple way, as when the plant is watered the pot retains the water and creates humidity around your Bonsai Tree, these are quite acceptable and reasonably cheap to buy.

Mica Bonsai Pots
A mica bonsai pot is of the type that could be kept outside if you wanted to, they are generally made of high quality material and able to withstand all of our crazy weather conditions that we experience on our planet this is including snow, wind, rain and of course the heat. They are made up of  5% graphite for the colour, 85% mica and 10% polythene to help hold it all together. There are no chemicals in the production of the ceramic type pot and can quite easily be recycled so they are considered to be environmentally friendly. The next choice you are going to have to make is should I go for the glazed or the unglazed type of Bonsai Tree pot ?
Well generally you will be looking for something to complement your Bonsai Tree so you will have to think about that and come to your own conclusion but I would just bear in mind that if you have a nice dramatic looking older style Bonsai Tree then you will want a pot to match its particular style and in general the older style Bonsai Trees tend to look better in a dark coloured unglazed pot as it gives the impression of age.
